Preview of Dingle Peninsula

One afternoon preview. Crag Cave, pretty young one – discovered in eighties and some places on Dingle – as far as I could escape from crowds. I met three girls from Ireland and Romania, one of them told me about interesting project – work away, check it out.

Preview of Slieve Bloom

These mountains seems to be too easy and quite boring but don’t believe if that’d be your first impression. They’re nice, rough, spacious, wild and what I appreciate most – desolated enough. Some bridges are 10 cm wider than car, some are bended, basically it’s so beautiful there that you want to take a picture  literally every 100 m

Now imagine that scenery listening in Lyric FM about Ross Daly….

2014 in review

The stats helper monkeys prepared a 2014 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 19,000 times in 2014. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 7 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

Expect the unexpected

On our way with Kasia to reach Carrantuohill – the highest peak in whole Ireland, we got engine problem in half way. Local mechanic advised us to not continue the journey so… we checked what’s around us and decided to get as much as we can before backward travel to Baile Atha Cliath. What happened is we transform car breakdown into a great weekend.

This is freedom!

Why I decided to buy a helmet?

Cause riding down the hill 60km/h is cool so I’d like to have more journeys like this. Since then every cycling further than just shopping or commuting helmet is must wear, now I’m happy, secured and more confident. Of course brain still stays the most important part of my team 😉

Annagh Hill – unexpected bucketing rain hasn’t discourage me from continuing my little trip, I survived in beer garden of some bar on the road, then tried many ways up but all they were dead ends, after all I went to refill my power with soup of the day (the choice is Guinness or Bulmers 😉 ) in pub at Wicklow Gap (the southern one) and following barman’s advises I start to climb on the bike at right track to get the Annagh Hill peak.

That’s right, here’s over 40 pics and I’m not gonna delete any of them! 😛

All day cycling

Failed attempt to reach Croghan’s (known as well as Kinsella) summit on the bike. No map, no smartphone, no satnav, no brain 😉 But, as usually, great adventure. Just struggling with hard land finished totally wet at night jumping over private pasture gates.

For unknown reason there’s a miscommunication between WordPress and Sony which results with default titles of all uploaded pics set like “???????????????????????????????”. I have no time to delete them on every file so sorry about that, it happens only with pictures taken by Sony 😦

Cycling in wellies

I wanted to explore a part of one river but finally I couldn’t find the right one. BUT we’ve found some weird ruins where nice metalwork meets ugly concrete structures. Oh, and it’s private so you can’t trespass (but we didn’t know that so you can see pics from inside)…

And, of course, a pure joy of cycling (even in uncomfy boots)
